You're Still Good at  Your Work.

But It No Longer Feels Right.

You’re still performing. Still delivering. Still doing what others expect of you..

Yet you cannot see yourself doing this for the rest of your working life. You know you want something different, but you do not know what else you could do without earning less, starting again from the bottom or putting what you have already built at risk.

You are no longer the same person you were when you began this work. Something has changed in you, even if you cannot yet identify exactly what it is.

The Work Identity Diagnostic will identify what has changed in you, what you now need from work, and whether staying, adjusting your present work or exploring a different direction is the most appropriate path to consider.

Your personalised Decision Pathway will show what the findings mean for your next decision, including anything you still need to establish before making a major move.

The Signs That Your Work No Longer Fits Who You Are Now.

This is why Work Identity misalignment can be difficult to recognise. Nothing has necessarily gone wrong. You may still be performing well, meeting expectations and being recognised for what you do.

Yet beneath that competence, something no longer feels right.

It usually looks like this:

  • You are still good at what you do, but the work no longer energises you.
  • You know you want something different, but you cannot yet see what that should be.
  • Work that once made sense no longer feels like it belongs to you.
  • You cannot see yourself doing this for the rest of your working life
  • .You have considered changing roles or moving to another organisation, but worry that the same work will eventually feel the same.
  • You do not want to start again from the bottom. You want to build forward from what you have already achieved.

These are not instructions to leave your work. They are signs that something has changed in you and needs to be understood before you decide what to do next.

That is precisely what the Work Identity Diagnostic™ exists to do.

A Different Role May Change the Setting Without Changing the Misfit

When work no longer feels right, the natural response is to consider a different role, organisation or working environment.

For a while, the change may feel like progress. There are new people, new challenges and renewed energy.

Yet the same feeling can eventually return if the decision changed your surroundings without addressing what had changed in you.

What you needed from work earlier in your working life may not be what you need from it now.

Earlier in your career, success meant:

  • Progress
  • Stability
  • Recognition
  • Income

Now, you may place greater value on:

  • Alignment
  • Meaning
  • Energy
  • Direction
  • Peace of mind

This does not diminish what you have already achieved. It explains why work that once fitted you may no longer feel right today.

Before deciding what to do next, you need to identify what has changed, what now matters and what your future work must provide. Otherwise, you risk making a different move based on the same incomplete understanding.

The Work Identity Diagnostic™ gives you that understanding, so your next move is based on evidence rather than hope, assumption or guesswork

Identify What Has Changed

The Cost of Continuing in Work That No Longer Fits

When something changes in you, your work does not necessarily change. Your relationship with it does.

You may continue performing well, while the work gradually requires more energy, feels less meaningful and becomes harder to imagine doing for the rest of your working life.

Since nothing appears to be wrong from the outside, it can be easy to keep going. Yet the cost accumulates quietly:

  • More energy is spent sustaining work that no longer renews you.
  • Your sense of meaning and connection to the work gradually diminishes.
  • Opportunities are overlooked because your right direction remains unclear.
  • Important decisions are postponed, or made primarily for relief
  • More of your working life is spent enduring the misfit

This is Deferred Alignment™. You remain capable, responsible and productive while postponing the need to bring your work into alignment with who you are now.

The answer is not to make a hurried move. It is to identify what has changed, so your next move addresses the cause of the misfit rather than recreating it somewhere else.

Understand The Cause Before You Decide What to Do Next.

Most conversations about work begin with advice, possible roles or suggestions about what you could do next.

The Work Identity Diagnostic™ begins somewhere different. It begins by identifying why your work no longer feels right.

It is not designed to motivate you to leave or persuade you to change direction. It is a structured diagnostic process built around one principle: diagnosis before decision.

Through the Work Identity Index™ and your diagnostic session, we identify:

  • Whether what you are experiencing is temporary fatigue, situational dissatisfaction or a deeper Work Identity misfit.
  • What has changed in you and which aspects of your present work no longer fit.
  • What is driving the feeling that your work no longer feels right.
  • What continuing as you are is costing you professionally and personally.
  • Whether your present work can be realigned or whether a different direction is genuinely required.
  • What your future work needs to provide in order to fit who you are now
  • The practical constraints your right next move must respect, including your income, responsibilities, stability and what you have already built.

The purpose is not to push you towards change.

It is to give you a clear understanding of why your work no longer feels right, what needs to change and what must happen before you make your next move.

How The Work Identity Diagnostic Works

A Structured Process Designed for Precision — Not Guesswork

A structured five-stage process to identify what has changed and determine what should happen next.

Step 1 — Complete your Pre-Diagnostic Questionnaire

After booking and selecting your session time, you will receive a structured questionnaire to complete in advance.

This gives me the information needed to understand your situation and prepare your Work Identity Index™.

Step 2 —Your Work Identity Index™ Is Prepared

Before we meet, I analyse your responses across the six dimensions of your Work Identity:

  • Identity
  • Meaning
  • Energy
  • Environment
  • Direction
  • Recognition Alignment™

This begins to reveal where the misfit may lie and what needs to be examined more closely during your diagnostic session.

Step 3 —Attend Your 60-Minute Diagnostic Session

During your private diagnostic session, we examine your Work Identity Index™ findings and identify what has changed, why your work no longer feels right and what this means for your next decision.

Step 4 —Receive Your Work Identity Report and Decision Pathway

Within three working days, you will receive your personalised Work Identity Report, together with a recommended Decision Pathway setting out what should happen before you make your next move.

Step 5 —Attend Your 30-Minute Follow-Up Session

Once you have had time to consider your report, we meet again to review your findings, address any remaining questions and confirm your understanding of the Decision Pathway.

Clarity Without Pressure To Leave

Committing to the Work Identity Diagnostic™ does not mean committing to leave your present work, change roles or enter a longer programme.

The purpose is to establish why your work no longer feels right, what has changed and what needs to happen next.

Your findings may show that aspects of your present work can be realigned. They may show that a different role or working environment would fit you better. They may point towards a different direction altogether.

The diagnostic does not decide for you or push you towards a predetermined outcome. It gives you the understanding needed to make your own decision with clarity rather than assumption.

Is The Work Identity Diagnostic Right For You?

The Work Identity Diagnostic™ is designed for experienced professionals whose work no longer feels right, despite still being good at what they do.

✅ This Is Likely To Be Right For You If:

  • You cannot see yourself doing your present work for the rest of your working life.
  • You know you want something different, but cannot yet see what that should be.
  • You do not know what else you could do without earning less, starting again from the bottom or risking what you have already built.
  • You have considered changing roles or organisations, but worry that the same feeling may eventually return.
  • You have responsibilities and need your next move to be considered rather than impulsive.
  • You want to understand why your work no longer feels right before deciding what to do next
  • You are prepared to examine your situation honestly and engage fully with the diagnostic process.

❌ This May Not Be Right For You If:

  • Your immediate need is help with your CV, applications, interviews or securing another role.
  • You are looking for someone to tell you which decision to make.
  • You are seeking ongoing coaching, accountability or motivational support
  • Your immediate need is support with severe burnout, your mental health or an inability to perform your work safely

You do not need to know what your right next move is before you begin. That is precisely what you are seeking to determine.

You only need to know that continuing as you are no longer feels right and that you are ready to understand why.

Begin Your Work Identity Diagnostic

What You Will Have At The End Of The Diagnostic.

A structured understanding of why your work no longer feels right and what needs to happen next.

Once the complete Work Identity Diagnostic™ process is finished, you will have:

✔ Your Work Identity Index™ Profile

A personalised assessment of your Work Identity across six dimensions:

  • Identity
  • Meaning
  • Energy
  • Environment
  • Direction
  • Recognition Alignment™

This shows where your present work remains aligned and where the most significant areas of misalignment lie.

✔ A Clear Explanation Of What Has Changed

You will understand what is driving the feeling that your work no longer feels right, rather than continuing to rely on assumptions about the cause.

You will also understand the implications of continuing as you are and what may need to change.

✔ Your  Decision Pathway

Your Decision Pathway sets out what your situation requires before you make your next move.

It may indicate that:

  • Aspects of your present work could be realigned.
  • A different role or working environment should be considered.
  • A different direction may now fit you better
  • Further work is needed before a responsible decision can be made.

It will also recognise the practical constraints your decision must respect, including your income, responsibilities, stability and what you have already built.

✔ Your  Written Work Identity Report

Within three working days of your diagnostic session, you will receive a personalised report containing your findings, their implications and your recommended Decision Pathway.

This gives you a professional reference point to return to as you consider what to do next.

✔ Your 30-Minute Follow-Up Clarity Call

Once you have had time to consider your report, we meet again to review your findings, address your questions and confirm your understanding of the Decision Pathway.

You will not leave with generic inspiration or a list of possible roles.

You will leave with a structured understanding of what has changed, why your work no longer feels right and what should happen before you make your next move.

What This Clarity Makes Possible

The value of the Work Identity Diagnostic™ is not simply that it names the problem. It changes how you evaluate what should happen next.

With a clearer understanding of what has changed in you, you can:

  • Distinguish what needs to change from what can remain.
  • Evaluate roles, organisations and opportunities against what fits you now.
  • Recognise how your experience, strengths and achievements can be carried forward.
  • Consider your next move without automatically assuming that you must earn less or start again from the bottom.
  • Make decisions that respect your income, responsibilities, stability and what you have already built
  • Reduce the risk of recreating the same misfit somewhere else

The diagnostic does not make the decision for you or hand you a generic plan.

It gives you the understanding from which your right next move can be determined, rather than leaving it to hope, assumption and guesswork.

What Professionals Say After The Work Identity Diagnostic

"So I had been sitting with this for close to two years. Not talking about it, just carrying it around. And then twenty minutes into the call Henry says something and I just went quiet because that was it, that was the thing I couldn't get out. I still go back and read the report every few months actually. Didn't get some big five step plan out of it. Got something better honestly, I finally understood what had shifted in me."

Senior Manager, Financial Services

"Tried coaching once before. Spent the money, got nothing. So going in I wasn't expecting much from this either. Wrong. He wasn't cheering me on or steering me anywhere, he just asked and asked until he actually got it, and then he named it. There was a decision I'd been sitting on for over a year. Finally had something to actually work with."

Director, Professional Services

"Nearly cancelled twice. Kept thinking my situation just wasn't bad enough to justify it... which, turns out, was exactly the problem. Nothing dramatic ever happened to me, so I never had a reason to change anything. Henry called that out almost immediately. Left with real clarity. Not relief. Clarity."

Head of Operations, Technology Sector

"Ok so I went in expecting the usual, soft chat, talk about your goals, maybe some breathing exercises for all I knew. Not that. It was more like getting looked at properly, like an actual assessment, which honestly surprised me given what I do for a living, I don't usually rate this kind of thing. Anyway. Came out with actual words for something I had only ever felt and never once said out loud. Small thing maybe. Wasn't small to me."

Why I Created The Work Identity Diagnostic

I created the Work Identity Diagnostic™ because I spent almost 20 years living the problem it is designed to address.

I moved between organisations, took on greater responsibility, earned more and became respected for what I did. From the outside, every move looked like progress.

Yet the same feeling kept returning. I was still good at the work, but it no longer felt right.

For years, I assumed the answer was to keep moving forward. Change organisations. Accept more responsibility. Work harder. Wait for clarity to arrive.

Each move changed my circumstances, but it did not resolve the underlying misfit.

The problem was not my capability or my willingness to work. Something had changed in me, and the work that had once made sense no longer fitted who I had become.

I eventually understood that competence and fit are not the same thing. Being good at your work can keep you doing it long after it has stopped fitting you.

Before I could make the right next move, I needed to understand what had changed, what I now needed from my work and what I could carry forward without starting again from the bottom.

That understanding became the foundation of the Work Identity Diagnostic™. The process has since been refined through my work with experienced professionals facing the same dilemma.

My role is not to tell you to leave or decide for you. It is to give you the structured understanding I did not have, so your next move is not based on hope, assumption and guesswork.
